We are having a busy and successful first year in business and our relationship with the SEE is proving very beneficial to both of us. We have already made many changes to the portfolio of magazines and the online presence and there is much more to follow. Our focus on editorial excellence is paying dividends. We produce stories our readers want to read and ensure our publications run on a sound commercial footing – and it’s working. We have more readers and advertisers than ever before.
Environmental Engineering goes from strength to strength
A big thank you to our advertisers and editorial contributors. Concorde Publishing has now produced 3 issues of the Society of Environmental Engineers journal and it’s getting bigger and better. Our latest issue, just published is our biggest for years and one of the biggest ever. Size isn’t everything, but bigger issues mean that we can run more of the stories that our readers want and we have so much good material that we are looking at the feasibility of moving to 6 issues a year next year. Watch this space…

Developing the circulation of Environmental Engineering
Members of the Society of Environmental Engineers automatically receive a free copy of the magazine, but the society is always looking for new members and to introduce our great magazines to new readers – so we send copies out to carefully selected engineers in key roles. We have just added a big new group of readers to the circulation so advertisers and companies featured in the magazine should expect to see a marked increase in the volume of interest in their products.
A new recruitment section
Look at our latest issue and you will see, for the first time, a recruitment section. These are real jobs, with some of the biggest names in the industry and they are in the magazine because our advertisers are fed up with receiving hundreds of irrelevant CVs from generalist job sites – they want people to apply who are qualified and can do the job. We won’t flood them with CVs – but the enquiries they do get will be good ones. We are only taking job ads for employers, so no agencies thanks!
A new look for the Test House Directory
We published this year’s directory in February, with an astonishing re-booking rate of 95% along with a number of new entries. That is an overwhelming endorsement of this really useful publication from our clients who keep coming back to book their entry. We updated the printed directory with a new look and feel and we have just launched an updated version of the website, www.testhousedirectory.com. We are already taking bookings for the next instalment which closes for press in December.
